“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” —Ephesians 5:15-16 NIV
I had a dream the other night and awoke with such an urgency in my spirit I shot out of bed and began writing. What I ended up with was another chapter in the book I am writing. Without sharing all 3,000 words of the chapter today I do want to share with you the meat of the message which is this,
It’s time to clear out the clutter!
In my dream there were a number of people who needed breakthrough in their lives. The hollowness of their eyes reflected the deep hopelessness within their hearts. In the dream God was using me to speak life into them however, each time I began speaking the person either got distracted from hearing the remainder of the message or, as was the case with one of the ladies, she never got a chance to hear the message at all because of the distractions on her phone and the television in front of her.
Each time the person was desperate for hope and healing and, as it turned out, they were in control of whether or not they ever received their breakthrough which waited patiently nearby for them to put down whatever it was that was distracting them.
As I stood on the sidelines of their destiny I could feel the heart of the Father breaking for His people who have gotten so distracted by all the clutter in life. Just as He promises in His word, He was near to them as their hearts were breaking and their spirits were crushed, and was ready and willing to meet their needs but they were so busy they never made the time.
Friend, I have a pressing message from the Holy Spirit for you today and its this, “Its time to clear out the clutter!” And to do so you simply make the choice—I’m going to decide to lay this all aside for the Lord. Put down your phone (even if it means you never finish reading this devotional), close your lap top, back away from the electronic device and fall into the loving arms of your Father right now! He desires to make you whole today! Your healing and breakthrough are at hand.
The question is this: who do you say is King of your heart?
It’s time to clear out the clutter…
The choice has always been yours to make friend…let today be your day. God is waiting with wide open arms for you!
I love you,
Krissy
P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
