“The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” —1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
Have you ever considered that what the world so desperately needs is what you have? What if even those silly traits you possess are what the world is missing to bring a fresh element of joy? Maybe you’re like many who think their life can’t make that big of an impact or question, “What difference can I really make?”
Friend, I am here to remind you of a very simple truth that will help remove the shackles of doubt and release you into the reality of God’s promise
Your life matters!
Your voice matters!
You have a role to play in God’s story! Think of who created you… your mom and dad, sure… but who formed and fashioned you in the womb? Who breathes life into your destiny? Who is the Author of your story? God is the master carpenter. He determined that in this particular hour in His-story it was time for you to be born.
But what role can I really play in God’s story?
Only God knows the answer to that my friend. But as you seek Him, really seek His face and go before Him I guarantee you He will begin to reveal to you your awesome purpose.
Answer me this, is there anyone else in this world that you consider to be your “carbon copy”? Do you have a clone? No… of course not. Though you may find similarities with others the reality is, there is only one you.
Sound too simple to be true?
Consider David: a shepherd boy who God anointed as king over all of Israel. Why — because David was a man after God’s heart. As the scripture says, man judges by what he sees but God uses a whole other standard for determining greatness—our heart.
God determined your story before you were born. Your instincts will guide you down the path of your destiny. Those God given, God planted senses that keep you walking the path you were designed for. As you seek the Lord and yield to His will you can begin to trust that guiding light from within you. Allow His spirit to fill you up and truly be the “Helper” Jesus prophesied was coming
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” —John 16:13 NIV
Be encouraged today. When you allow yourself to be authentically you you’ll begin to experience the freedom that follows. The world is desperate for people to rise up and step outside the mold. We don’t need carbon copies of each other, we need authentic individuals who are brave enough to be themselves.
God doesn’t make mistakes friend. He made you the way you are for a reason… ask Him to give you courage to be authentic as you run the race He marked out for you with perseverance (Heb. 12:1).
Lord I pray You release a fresh boldness inside the hearts of those reading today! I ask that the Spirit of Truth would rush through their veins reviving their heart and renewing their mind today! Let them begin to see themselves the way you see them! With eyes of compassion, eyes of love, and eyes of purpose. You have appointed them for purpose and I pray that begin to be clarified in each one right now. In the mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
I love you,
Krissy
P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
