“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];”—2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP
We live in a culture where everything is morally relative—what is right for me may be wrong for you and visa versa. It’s all relative, meaning anything goes.
Friend, I have an urgent message for you today and it’s this: there is absolute truth and it’s in every word God has spoken!
As our key verse proclaims—ALL scripture is God-breathed. It is divinely inspired. It is absolute because the word of God does not change, period.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and forever.” —Hebrews 3:18
“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” —Numbers 23:19 NIV
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.” — 2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV
I do not debate with a human argument.
I proclaim upon a firm foundation!
The foundation of the Word of God which is alive and active sharper than a double-edged sword which penetrating straight to the heart (Heb. 4:12). It does not change because we think it should. It does not shift with the waves of culture like we do.
It is final.
It is complete.
It is the God-breathed, Holy Spirit inspired and you either believe it or you don’t.
Friend, the urgency in my spirit flows from a place of deep compassion for my generation.
A generation being tossed around by the waves of culture.
A generation who is backing down when they should be rising up.
A generation with much to say, who has been hurt and let down, but if you’ll rise up long enough to take the plunge deep into the word of God you will discover for yourself that is, in fact, alive!
It will meet you right where you are.
Your broken heart will begin to beat again as you pour over the pages of Truth.
You will experience a deep healing in you heart as you read the words of Jesus as He sat and talked with the woman at the well in John 4. As you read about the cross in the gospels. As you experience first hand the fire of God that fell upon the believers at Pentecost in Acts 2. This is a book of prophecy for your life as the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy (Rev. 19:10). Jesus said before He left to return home to the Father —Greater things will you do in my name because when I go I will send the Helper, the Holy Spirit (John 16:7).
Friend, as believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we have the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead living inside of us giving LIFE to our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11)!!
So to all who are feeling the pull to believe the lies and deception of culture this is a call out to your spirit, the spirit of God in you—ARISE!!
To all who feel pressed down by the weight of the world, this is a call out to the spirit of Strength in you—ARISE!!
This is a love letter from Jesus to you today friend. To remind you that His word can become an anchor for your soul (Heb. 6:19). You can be rooted and grounded in love (Eph. 3:17) and God is love (1 John 4:8).
So, Arise!
Shine!!
Your light has come!!! (Isa. 60:1)
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” —Psalm 62:5-8 NIV
I love you!
Krissy
P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
