“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” —2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV

Jesus didn’t just die for you.

He became sin.

He embodied sin.

Your sin.

My sin.

ALL the sin of the world—both past, present and future—as only God could do. (John 1:29)

Jesus became sin so that God’s anger toward sin could be poured out in full measure once and for all so that we—you and me—could finally come near to God. (Heb. 4:16)

The veil, the barrier separating you from encountering the presence of God, was ripped in two. (Matthew 27:51)

Jesus’ work was FINISHED. (John 19:30)

Access to the Father is granted—to all who believe in the Son. (John 3:16)

But though Jesus died, and finished the work He was sent to complete—God wasn’t finished.

There was another massive accomplishment to follow the cross… Jesus’ resurrection from the grave!

Death couldn’t contain Him! (Acts 2:24)

And now because He is alive, you can be fully alive!

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” —Galatians 2:20 NIV

Because Jesus died in the flesh and arose into new life so you and I can die to our flesh and rise to new life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hooray! Through His resurrection and life we are given the ability to truly LIVE an abundant life free from the enslavement to sin (Romans 8:14-15).

Remember what Jesus said, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I have come so that you might have life and have it to the fullest,” John 10:10.

The abundant life Jesus described is life in and through HIM!

Jesus said in John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

This is good news friend!

It’s the plain and simple truth of the cross.

Once I discovered the simple truth of the cross I realized I didn’t need to carry around all this guilt and shame over my past anymore! Suddenly I was free and I could feel the weight I carried for years lift from my shoulders. It’s the power of the cross friend! And the power of the resurrection life we now walk in as God’s child.

No longer do you need to carry around that guilt and shame of what you’ve done in your past! You can gaze longingly up at Jesus who bore that for you, in your place. You can lay what you’re feeling at the feet of Jesus because it’s already been accomplished for you! Simply position your heart to believe and receive what Jesus did for you out of the extravagant, abundant LOVE He has for you… He calls you worthy simply because God the Father loves you and wants to welcome you into His family! The family of God… as His beloved child. The way was made for you through Jesus (John 4:16)! You are restored to relationship and fellowship with the Father just as it would have been in the very beginning if man had never sinned. That’s it friend! As the old hymn says, “Jesus paid it all… all to Him I owe.” Lay down what you’ve been hanging on to. Lay it at His feet. He is worthy of it all.

If you are living a life of sin, away from the Father, turn your eyes to Jesus and repent!

He is madly in love with you and awaits you with wide open arms!

The arms of a loving Father.

If you’ve been living a luke-warm life sort of walking the line between a godly life and a life tip-toeing in the world, repent and make a fresh commitment today!

I awoke one morning a couple years ago to the Holy Spirit stirring inside with this one statement, He said, “It’s a spiritual exchange. Of everything the Father has—He freely gives.”

It’s all for you friend.

You are the one.

Exchange your robe of guilt, shame and condemnation for His robe of righteousness! You are the beloved of God in Christ!

Be encouraged today by the simple Truth of the cross. Jesus died for you so that you could truly live, period.

I love you,
Krissy

P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
