“Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rests upon you.” Isaiah 60:1
I want to encourage you today friend, God has a plan! He has a specific plan and He has you in mind!
The question isn’t, Does God want to use me?
The question is, Will you let Him use you?
Will you rise when He says it’s time?
Will you trust God when He says, it’s not time just yet?
Can you find contentment in the waiting and peace and joy in the journey? Or have you stamped your life with your plans and are so busy telling God all the things you want to do you’ve forgotten to ask Him what He wants you to do, or not do?
It’s time to surrender friend.
It’s time to lay down all your thoughts, your dreams, your ambitions, goals, plans… lay them all down at the the feet of Jesus and allow Him to take all of those things from you and paint the picture atop a clean canvas of what your life looks like—day by day, picture by picture. Jesus teaches us how to pray and it’s with today in mind… “Give us this day our daily bread (Mt. 6:11).” He makes it clear in Matthew 6:11 that we are not to worry about tomorrow either.
Friend, I feel a fire in me right now that God is desperately wanting us to fully yield our life, will, thoughts and emotions to Him today. Surrender it all to the One who paid it all and then allow Him to use you for His glory, for His Kingdom—not your will, but His be done.
Seek first the Kingdom friend… and ARISE and SHINE for the glory of God rests upon you as a yielded, surrendered vessel who is ready and willing to go into all the world—including the world around you in your everyday life—and shine bright the saving light of Jesus Who is alive in you empowering you in all things!
