Have you ever felt desperate to break out? Do you feel as though the real you is locked up somewhere inside?
I have this pressing word on my heart today that, “It’s time to break out!”
The reality is, without realizing it many of us have imprisoned ourselves! Yes, you heard me right. Sure it’s a tactic the enemy uses when he wants to keep us distracted and sidetracked hindering us from fulfilling our destiny; but often times we are more responsible for our confinement than we realize.
So, how do we imprison ourselves?
Usually through fear, insecurity and comparison.
Each of these have the power to shut us up and lock us inside a prison of doubt. We begin to doubt ourself. And we doubt God questioning why He made us the way He did and what our purpose actually is.
Imagine with me for a moment that all of your life experience, everything you’ve gone through, your story—these are like water in a well. They need to be drawn from.
Water that sits for too long without circulating becomes stagnant and risks contamination.
If you’re not drawing from your well of experience and using it to encourage others, sharing your testimony, etc. you limit yourself and God. You’re a shell of the person He created you to be all because you’re afraid of letting the world know the real you because the real you is what’s locked up inside desperate to break out!
We all know that our physical body—how we look, what we wear, our hair, makeup, ect.—are not who we are. Who we are is what’s on the inside.
If you’re holding in the real you you’re hindering the world from all that you have to offer it.
Friend, don’t deny God the opportunity to use you for the plan and purpose He created you for! And don’t allow the enemy to trick you into thinking you’re doing the world any favors by not being you and sharing you with those you’re encountering each day. The truth is—the world needs you! The people in your life need you to be you! God needs you! And guess what—you’re free to be you!
As I wrote about in a previous #DailyTruth, The Comparison Virus, you were not made on some assembly line with others who look just like you and act just like you—you are a unique creation and with your own unique story to tell! And just as differently as each of us look on the outside so we are unique on the inside with a one of a kind purpose and destiny!
So be encouraged today friend, if you’re feeling desperate to break out—GO FOR IT! Break out! You hold the keys! Allow the real you to break through the prison bars of doubt and know that you know that you know—God created you special! He created you unique and with purpose and destiny! All of those dreams in you… each and every one of those ambitions in your heart… where do you think they came from? Could it be that God planted seeds in your heart that only He can water and as you spend time with Him abiding in Him (John 15:4) those dreams are watered? I wrote about this recently too—our dreams are watered in the secret place.
God placed seeds in you that He will water. Take your dreams to Him and allow them to flourish in and for His Kingdom giving Him honor and glory every step of the way! God desires for you to break out too friend! He created you to shine!
So today, rise up with a fresh boldness, break out with a renewed strength, and shine brightly as the amazing Y.O.U. He made you to be as He knit you together in your mother’ womb (Psalm 139:13).
It’s time to break out…
